I used to spin the shit out of this 12” back in high school. I found it in the antique store filled with Nazi memorabilia that I did all my digging in. Probably sitting next to Supertramp and Herb Alpert, (there was a 99% chance that you would find multiple copies of “Breakfast in America” and “Whipped Cream and Other Delights” every single time you showed up to get your fingers dusty. I bought copies of each, just so I wouldn’t have to thumb past them week after week, but they just regenerated.)
So many things to love in this: Heavy D’s prison pajamas, Grand Puba’s disappearing backpack, Pete Rock’s savage cut up of Otis’ and Carla’s “Tramp” (suck it, Kayne) and, of course, the lack of curses.
